Dawn, I love the sponge dauber trick! The silicone mat helps so much!
Thanks for a great video!!!
Dawn, I finally got around to trying the sponge daubern trick and I liked the idea but the positive part always comes off. I think I must have to get some heavy duty glue???
Thanks for all your helpful videos. I live by them.
Arge
Great video! Great tips!! I will have to give the dauber tip a try. I really am enjoying my Stamparatus. Thanks so much for the goodies.
Awesome tips!!!
Absolutely LOVE this card!
I don’t have the Stamparatus but I do have a MISTI which I love. I’ll have to try some of the tips you present here.
Oh no, now I am going go be more addicted to my Stamparatus! Love your tips, fabulous. Have my silicone mat and just might have some Velcro….Jiminy Cricket, I am in trouble now!
Great tip, you always have and share the most awesome ideas. Keep them coming. Your purple nails are beautiful.
Dawn,
WOW! Thank You, those were wonderful tips. I learned so much.
I’m going to place an order for another silicone mat immediately!
The dobber trick was really cool. I have some velcro dots and going right into my craft room now and make one.
Thank You Again!
I would like to see more on aligning red rubber stamps as you can’t see from the back.
That’s kinda trial & error. Best to used scratch paper to test alignment. I usually set it face down on the card stock to get it where I want it, then pick it up with the door. Then, using the grid lines on the door, adjust it a bit if needed. Particularly with sentiment stamps, make it real easy to see if it’s straight.
Hi Dawn, Thanks for the genius tips today!! I am sure I have a bunch of crummy old daubers from my Stampin’ Pastels days. Can’t wait to try your awesome idea! Love my SU Stampin’ Spots, not only for the ink quality but also because the covers stay on nice and tight. I don’t have a demo right now so haven’t owned a hard copy of the annual catalog in 3+ years. Can I order one from you when the new one comes out? I would be happy to oay the shipping cost! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for these helpful tips!
Thanks for sharing the great ideas!
GREAT tips!!! GREAT video!!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the video and great ideas !!
Dawn,
Thank you for the wonderful gifts that I received from you with my Stamparatus order. This video is very helpful. What a great idea to make a handle for the Stampin’ Spots from a dauber! I’m going to do this with them. You always come up with the most creative ideas!
Genius! Thank you so much for the tip on the dauber. Love it! I always love your videos. They are always so helpful. Wishing healing thoughts for your Mom.
Love the dauber idea! Have to give that a try. And for anybody who is totally new the stamperatus concept, using stampin spots is the way to go for inking your stamps with the least amount of mess!! Trying to ink a stamp, especially smaller stamps, with a full size pad that has the newer (spongy) pad is almost impossible to do without getting ink all over the door too!! (Not to mention that you get ink all over the edges of the stamp!) I got all excited when I heard they revamped the ink pads thinking they were going back to the cloth type pad…….but, bummer, they only redesigned the case!
But I really loved hearing you say that calling the red rubber unmounted stamps “clear” mount was a ridiculous idea! It made no sense to me either when I first heard that….lol. Maybe it made sense to people that only ever used wood block mount red rubber??
Dawn,
I liked your Stamparatus video and like all your videos. How did you get the velcro pcs. to
stick to the sponge dauber? Mine didn’t and I used some glue but have to get something stronger I think.
Dawn these are great TOP TIPs for the Stamparatus. Please can I add further ones that I have come across whilst using my Stamparatus and watching other crafters using theirs.
(1) the magnets cover the whole magnet with Washi tape including making a handle so that if they do come in contact with each other and crack no magnet slithers are flying about they are contained under the Washi tape. The magnets may also still work.
(2) great top tip about using the silicone mat with the photopolymer stamps. So that I don’t have to get my mats inked up when stamping on the edge of card stock I have cut a piece of grid paper to the size of the mat and I use this also for lining up my card stock using the squares. It is reversible too and then it can be thrown away and another piece cut.
(3) I love the TOP TIP about using the ink spots and the sponge dauber, but also if you want to get a good ink coverage then put a single DVD stamp case under the Stamparatus door because you will see that because of the hinges it does not lay flat.
Hope these are useful Dawn. :O)
Dawn, you are amazing. Thank you for these fabulous tips.
