After Saturdays trip to Target and viewing  all those  cards and taking photos of them with my cel ph camera I thought  I should make one of them In my version of course with SU!  Tagets card was a  bit bigger in size But I still think Mine is Okey dokey .. I wish I could upload  my photo of the card I copied  from target  but I  dont have any way to upload from my cell phone  anyway ..

I am going to try and  give directions to my fip top gift card holder ..Please be patient  since I have only made this sample and I was just wingin it  from the photo on my cell ph . Maybe you can come up with an  simpler way But this is what I did for mine ..

1. cut your cardstock in half at 4 1/4 X 11

2. fold both  pieces in half  ( like your making 2 base cards )

3. Now  cut the top off of one at 2 1/4  ( this part will be the top part of your flip card ) and  cut the other top off of the other card base at 3 1/4  ( this will be the bottom part of your flip card )

4.I really hope I dont confuse you with this next step ..If you have any questions Please ask me  ok ?This part you can use 1of the 2 pieces( 3 1/4 X 4 1/4 ) left from the  2 1/4 cut ( top flip part  from step 3 above ) ) OR cut yourself a other  1/4 pieces of cs at 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 ( this way may be the easiest at 1st ) ….( either way you will be using this piece for  the gift card holder ) if you use the 3 1/4 X 4  1/4 piece like I did you will need to  attach the  piece to the inside  of the bottom   part of your card  BUT remember to keep 2 1/4 of this piece showing  ( your flip top will cover  this  piece that is sticking out and this is also where your gift card is  held  at )  Mono   your bottom piece and the  inside  part all closed  so you should have  your base card "bottom" with the  piece of  CS sticking out the top  right ?

5. Now using your slit punch cut  one slit on each side of the top sticking out piece (  making sure you have enough space to hold a gift card I would measure out the gift card  on to the top of  cs with a pencil ..

6. Next attach your top  part over the  sticking out piece(  make sure you top and bottom piece match up  . this will give you the illusion of a regular looking card )   I used a brad on mine  so it can flip easy .. ( if you look really  really close at my photos today you can actually see a imprint of a brad on the left  top side ( under marigolde morning  strip of CS  ..I ued the 1/16th punch and punched a hole through all layers of CS  and attached  the brad .. I did NOT  use adhesive on  any part of the flip top part  I kept my fip part open on the right side  so it will be easier to flip up  and expose  the gift card .. I really hope this helps you .. Here is another  one of my favorite  bands .. APOLOGETIX… This Band ROCKS … and are sooo very cool ( I really am amazed at what they do ..  Not only are the band members Christians BUT they do the weird Al to  most popular songs ..  whats the weird AL you ask? Well they take   the oldest and newest songs out and re make them to  glorify God  I have 2 of their 2CD and I love  the way they put words in place of the song words  that were there orginally  Here take a Look & Listen to BOY TELL THE WORLD version of "Jermiah was a bull frog ". ..also along the right side once you click on the link  you can view many others you tube videas   from APOLOGETIX  Like Walk on the water .. version of > Smoke on the water..anyway   I have also attached their web site also Apologetix a Christian parody band   .. Our church youth group  Hope to see them in person the next time they Hit the Michigan tour .. They are awesome ..  Of course you cant truly  hear all the  words to their  song since YOU TUBE isnt that clear for thie video But  maybe if you listen close  you can hear  most of it and if not you can  get the words to their song  Boy tell the world> HERE ..  ENJOY!!
