Hi Everyone : My Friend Angie and I are making Blog History
.. Hows that you say ?? Glad you asked .. I have yet to see a fellow blogger do a give a way in Hopes of helping a fellow blogger out .. You see Angie and I have been writing all this past weekend and she came up with such an awesome idea for a blog candy give a way and to think she is doing this give a way for me and my Hubby ( BIG Cyber {{{hugs}}}} to Angie ) in hopes to make my hubby one of the Most Wanted man over in Iraq Hee! Hee! Most wanted in a great way of course ( wink wink ) .. Please check out ANGIE’S BLOG for alot more details on how her blog candy give a way for you when you send me cards for my hubby.. Cards for our troops, Every one of the cards I receive will be shipped to my hubby & these cards will go in the hands of anyone and everyone on the base where he is located to send home to their loved ones .. Think of him as a portable Hallmark of sorts ( Wink wink ) BUT IMHO much better than Hallmark .. Angie is offering 2 blog candies to boot.. #1 is for the one person that mails me the most cards for the troops and #2 your name will go into the drawing for the goodies .. so weather you want to mail 1 or 100 + your name will be entered in her blog candy give-a-way #2. The one that sends the most will win the Blog Candy give a way #1 bunch goodies .. DAWNS SIDE NOTE: I have added the CARDS FOR TROOPS Link on the top left hand side of my blog so you can find the info quickly .. How do you send me your cards ?.. Great question .. Please post a comment on this post or on Angie’s post or email either of us for the snail mail address . My address will not be posted on either blogs you must post a comment leaving your email address OR email either of us personally to receive the snail mail address . BY the way .. you all know I post daily on my blog BUT in hopes that we both have alot of requests this blog post will remain at the top of my blog until MAY 1st which is the deadline for all cards to be in my hands. May 1st the names will be drawn By Angie … So if you find it in your heart to take part of Blog History … I would be ever so Grateful and I know my hubby would appreciate you making him the MOST wanted Man in Iraq .. This is a wonderful idea – I know when I was in Iraq I loved getting mail and would have loved being able to send a special card home as well! What address can I send the cards to? Thanks! Alex

This is an awesome idea that you 2 awesome women came up with! Forgive me, but when he originally went over to Iraq, didn’t you put out a RAK request? Oh well, now you two have made it a win win situation for everyone and who knows how many people’s lives our cards will touch. Almost like the fire they lit in church on the Easter Vigil, we passed the “fire of Jesus” from one candle to another and now we can pass along our wonderful card creations to your DH to pass onto others who in turn will pass them onto their beloved families.
Needless to say, count me in!
I have a bundle of cards all ready to go to someone, and I would love them to go to you!! I love your blog, you are my breath of fresh air, and my grounded read everyday! So, if you would like to email me your address, I’ll get them sent off. They all have envelopes, is that okay?

Dawn, please send me your address. I think this is a great thing to do!! If it cheers a serviceperson up just the tiniest bit–it is worth it. If it thanks them, in the smallest way, for their sacrifice–it is worth it. If they pass this gratitude onto their own family member, who is also sacrificing–even better!! Dawn, I need your snailmail address!! I have quite a few cards I can send. A lot of them have a LOVE theme and those are harder to use up, so there should be plenty for our guys over there to send to their wives!! 🙂

Dawn we got to think up a good name for the portable card shop for Richard. Let’s permote SU and other hand made cards. Let’s see how about Handmark, Stampmark, Lovemarked. I think I like Lovemarked cards the best. These names are off the top of my head. So there may be more names coming as I think of them.
