Trying something new is always FUN for me and personally I love to see everyones work especially when creating Shabby Chic' goodies.
This is my 1st attempt at this style .. so what do you think ?
I sure had alot of fun creating it and plus I got to use brand new goodies from the new SU! Summer mini .The stamp set is called Elements of Style .
WOW this set is sooo gorgeous, I am actually using it for my May 2010 Thank you notes ~ LOVE IT!!
I used Soft Suede and Pretty in pink for my main colors and lots of sponging and for the edges .
I then used my fingernail to distress to get it the Shabby/Aged look .
I used the Top note bigz die #113462 with Confetti cream card stock # 102835
OH my goodness so excited to used the Brand new product from the Summer mini called Smooch spritz You all are going to FREAK over ths stuff It is sooo amazing .. I used the Log cabin on my sample today and I love this stuff so much !
Dawns Side note : My Glitter Queens used Smooch Spritz when Shelli was here and I was saying the name wrong ( Yea I know … of all the times I would pronounce something wrong would have to be in front of our very own Shelli ~ way to funny !) and if only you could have seen Shelli explain to me how to say it … Lets just say she was puckering up and "smooch"ing Hee! Hee!
I also used the Slit punch #104388 on the edges of my Pretty in pink to hold my top note in place and added some Pretty in pink satin ribbon #117289 which is layered behind the top note and slides into the slit punch edges .

Did you “smooch” and sponge your background before you stamped? Or afterwards?? I have zero talent with the sprays. Mine are all splotchy and ugly looking!!

Although the Shabby Chick style is not my favorite, you have produced a beautiful work of art. I compliment you on moving towards a different direction -HOWEVER- I STILL love your origonal creations the BEST – neat, clean and crisp!
