Happy Sunday friends !
I still do not have my computer back as of today , BUT we are going to be heading up there this afternoon to check and see how it is coming along . I really was hoping to have it this past Friday but that didn't happen so now I am hoping it will come home with us today .
I will be heading to Stampin up Convention this upcoming week and I will be extending my stay out in SLC for a few extra days .
I will have projects ready to share for you during my time away . I do have a video filmed but I need my computer for editing, formatting & uploading and as of today that has NOT happened , so the good news is I will share that with you for sure when I return unless by chance I get my computer back before I leave on Wednesday and get it done and uploaded ( which this takes time as well ) I wish making a video was a wiggle of my nose and poof it was magically done and ready to go.
I am seeing my R.A doctor tomorrow and hopefully getting another shot in my shoulders . I feel like I am falling apart lately and I don't know why. My RA doctor wants to change my meds. He is wanting me to try Humira … I have heard this is a very painful medication to inject , I guess it seriously can't be any more painful than what I am experiencing now . I would love to hear if you are using this medication and your thoughts
Do you use the pen / needle to inject ?
Is one better than the other ? etc..

I am to start this medication next week but a visiting nurse is to come and show me how. It is a needle in a pen type thing. My first dosage is two whole pens I think. This is to be injected in the stomach or upper thigh I think. I need to reread and go over it with her. I hope some of the people comment on here so I can read also their experiences.

Dawn, I take an Embrel shot once a week for my RA and yes, it does have a “bite” to it as it is being injected. But, I feel so much better since I started using it that I just put up with it. It comes in a prefilled “pen” and I inject it myself. Ilike the pen because it only takes a few minutes to administer and then you are on your way where as the IV form you have to go to the dr. office and I think it takes about 3 hours to infuse. (I may be wrong on that) Also, I don’t know what the cost for Humira is, but Embrel is really expensive. I just thank my lucky stars that I have good med. insurance. Good luck.
