Hi Stampers,
Happy Monday friends !
I needed to make (2) Sympathy cards
We needed 1 for my hubby’s apprentice
who lost a loved one.
I used the butterfly on his card.
I also added Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake to both sides of the inside
so Rich could get everyone at work to sign it .
(Nothing wose than not having enough room for everyone to write a nice message inside) .
The 2nd card I made for our friends Brian and Jennifer
Brian lost his father in a terrible car accident .
I thought for the inside of their card I would carry over the
Gold Foil sheet#132622
by adding the small cluster of dragonflies
from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits # 142749
which I cut (2) apart to add in the inside .
For both cards I used the Thinking of You from
Wetlands stamp set
(w)# 126695
(c)# 126697
and embossed the greeting with Gold Embossing powder #109129
before cutting out the the
Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372
for the inside of both cards I used the
Better Together stamp set
(w)# 141733
(c)# 141736
Here are the measurements of both cards:
Elegant Eggplant card stock #105126
cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
cut at 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Crumb Cake card stock # 120953
cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
Very Vanilla card stock # 101650
cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
The video is posted HERE on how to do the Faux Quilted background

Thank you for sharing these. They are beautiful. Unfortunately I’ve needed to create many sympathy cards in the last two months. In some way the creation process helps me to handle the situation. It gives me time to think of the person or the person impacted by the death.
I need to make a sympathy card today. When I opened my e-mail and saw your cards, I knew that was the card I was going to make. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards and giving us inspiration.
I made a sympathy card on Friday and mine is a far cry from your gorgeous creations. But, I still like what I did and it is in the mail. I can’t believe how rich looking these look. Well done!
Sad for the reasons behind making the cards – but they are beautiful! I am sure they will bring comfort to those that receive them!
We all need this type of card from time to time and these are beautiful. Thanks for another great idea.
