Hi Stampers,
Happy Sunday friends !
This last week I had such a huge flare up with my hands
My hubby and I were concerned that I would have to go get my new ring cut off my finger .
The only thing I can think of is we when went to a birthday party last Saturday night
and I must had eaten something that made my hands swell up terrible on Easter Morning .
I did end up taking a photo of my fingers before and after .
Monday late afternoon the ring was off even with my fingers still really swollen
I got an amazing tip from my friend Patty to spray Windex on it and it should come right off…
Well not on Sunday the ring couldn’t even turn and there was no way
I was going to try and force it at that time
It was so tight I could’t even open my finger or my hand for that matter .
After icing it and leaving it alone all Easter Sunday
then Monday afternoon I had notice the swelling was down a tiny bit .
went along on my day, Then while taking out the trash I noticed a
big bottle of Windex sitting right by my hubby Harley
and I thought hummmm lets see if the swelling was down enough..
Yup with a few squirts of Windex and lots of wiggling that ring it finally came off
(thank you Windex ) I had never been so happy to get my ring off in my whole life .
I think with my new ring having such a wide band
I just didn’t realize the swelling would be so bad
all my other rings came off they were still tight at the time but came off , but not my new ring .
So needless to say you may have noticed that my video this past Friday HERE
that I didn’t have my new ring on ….
now you know the rest of the story LOL!
On Tuesday Anna & Peggy came over and we made our April Paper Pumpkin kits .
Oh My~ what a fun kit .
The cards are all gorgeous and in the Bold Bright colors that Peggy loves .
Here are a couple photos of our fun time stamping .
We had a messy table & it was a lot of fun~ LOL!
Thank you Anna & Peggy for coming and hanging out with me
and creating your cards with me .

Dawn, you were really lucky to get your ring off your finger. Hopefully the swelling will go down soon and your hand be back to normal. I really like those cards from this April’s Paper Pumpkin kit.
I had a similar occurrence BUT it was caused by an allergic reaction-first time in my life to anything-to the drug, Levaquin!!!!! Scary for sure-had taken only 2 pills and it took over 6 months to return to normal.
I don’t know if you’ve been diagnosed with anything, but there’s a good possibility that you have the beginning stages of arthritis. That’s what happened to me, then it went to my feet and ankles. If this is not the case, then know that ibuprofen (Advil) is an anti-inflammatory and may help with the swelling.
Thank you for your wonderful videos and all the how-to’s. You’ve really helped me step up my card making game!
Peggy , Yes I have had RA since 2001 and it also started in my feet of all places back then.. Now my feet are perfectly fine.
I have had multiple knee replacements and my hip was done a couple years ago .
Advil does NOTHING for me . I am on Humira currently and doing great with that .

You must have eaten something with a lot of salt in it. Always makes my fingers swell.
Still waiting for my paper pumpkin kit to get here. Looks like a lot of fun.
Denise ,
No salt isn’t my problem Plus I don’t eat much salt . It’s usually pork and shrimp that really inflame my joints but still finding things as I get older .
Paper Pumpkin this month is super cute !

I used to work in a Jewelry Store and that is what we used for customers to remove their rings…if that didn’t do it and the ring too tight…then it had to be cut off. I know you aren’t…but many pregnant women came in and we had to cut their rings off…we would then sent them out (if they requested it) to have then sized up.
I just thought of something!!!!!! My Big Fat Greek Wedding…Windex! The cure-all for everything!
Too funny!
Hope your swelling has subsided and you figured out what it was you ate…and avoid it in the future!
Hi Dawn…okay, this is weird….I, too, have RA. Have not had a bad flair up for some time. Yesterday one hit me. Had to use my wrist splint and a cane. Also…I can not get my ring off. I’m going to look for some Windex right now. thanks for the advice. Also, thanks for sharing with people that you do have RA and even having it you can accomplish a “million” goal.
Thank you Chris.
Hope you feel better .
I know usually with me a flare up can last the minimum of 3 days.
Hope yours has lifted and you’re doing better.
Hugs
Dawn
