Dawn, thanks for remembering what an important day Memorial Day is. Remember and pray for those who gave their lives for our freedoms and those who also service today to protect those same freedoms.
God Bless America.
Thank you for remembering those that served and those that are currently serving. So many think Monday is just another day. We should never forget that many gave their lives so we can have the freedoms we do today! I work for a university in SC and Monday is not a holiday, how sad!
Why is it that so many have lost the meaning and especially the sacrifice of this day? So very sad.
I too, thank you Dawn, for remembering those precious people who give and gave it all!
The freedom we enjoy and treasure is not free. Everyone knows a family who will be missing a member who has sacrificed a future so we can have our parades and cook-outs. If we see a serviceman at a fast food or other restaurant, why not pick up the tab as a “thank you”. It’s amazing – and sad – how surprised and grateful they are at such a small kindness.
