Terrific set! Thanks for this fun event and your generosity.
I have lots of trees in my yard (maybe too many my family says??), so they say this stamp set would be very appropriate for me. This has been a really fun day.

Starting to dream of Christmas ’18! #Partridge&Pears #Dawn’sCountdownTo2018 #2
Dear Dawn,
Thought you would enjoy this explantion of the deeper significance and history of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.
It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality that the children could remember:
-A partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
-Four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
-Five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
-Six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit-Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
-Eight maids a-milking were the eight Beatitudes.
-Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit–Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
-Ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.
-Eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful Disciples.
-Twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles’ Creed
OMG!!! Why do I not remember this one??? It is so cute!!!
And a partridge in a pear tree.
I’m usually in bed by now, so my brain is running out of things to say. Hence, I’ll use my few sentences to comment on one of your recent videos. One of your videos that really got me inspired was the quilt builders video. After watching you make your card, I immediately purchased that whole bundle through your website (along with some other goodies!!) When it came time to try it out and make a masterpiece like you had made on the video, mine wasn’t working out quite so good. (Actually—I wasn’t good at all!) Then I finally figured out that I needed to run the dies through the Big Shot a couple of times to get a good clean cut. Voila! It was a bit frustrating at first until that light bulb went off in me, but I was so proud I finally mastered making a half-way decent card with that set!
Happy New Year! This has been such fun! Thank you Dawn!
May your family have a wonderful New Year..health, wealth and happiness!!
Such a cute set for Christmas. I would love this and thanks.
Very cute! I like sets that have a sentiment for the front of the card and one for the inside.
