Hi Stampers,
Happy Thursday friends !
I have a couple fun videos for you today .
We are making this card shown above today
using a fun technique called
Faux Leather
but we are using the
Snowfall Accents Puff Paint # 150691
for this card .
In the Glitter Pit yesterday we had fun experimenting
other ways making Faux Leather/ Faux Suede.
Here is the card we made LIVE in the Glitter Pit
using the Faux Leather technique on the right.
I got to use the Let it Ride stamp set #148765
Love the Copper Foil sheets # 142020
and this fun technique with that gorgeous horse stamp set.
Plus I finished making this other sample ( on the left)
doing another Faux Leather technique.
I wanted to show you that layer on a card
so I used the same Let it Ride stamp set to
show you both of them together ~
What do you think ?
Both video’s are posted below
along with the supply list for the
Merry & Bright Faux Leather cards .
——————————
I’ve decided to post just a few photos
of my leg in a gallery
but in order for you to see them
you have to click HERE
I posted a photo of my bruise and then the forming of the blood blister
and then the photo that made me go to the wound clinic on August 12th .
I will NOT post them here on my blog and gross all of you out
but I’ve been asked by so many of you to see my leg
so I thought I would just post them in a gallery and you can click over when your ready .
I’m having an issue with being able to move around
as easily as normal since carrying the wound VAC around,
It’s not as small as my doctor was leading me to believe….
either way~ It is what it is right ?
It’s been quite challenging for me with my shoulders carrying the unit everywhere .
Truth be told I wasn’t having to much fun in my studio
this past week & I’m sure it’s due to the huge adjustment.
With all that said,
I didn’t really have a project set up for the Glitter Pit LIVE
it was a challenge to get the videos filmed and edited for this week .
I’m moving slower and toting a 7 lb unit around on my shoulder
has put a slight hick-up in my giddy-up.
Here’s some fun news though,
we are having our Glitter Queens Blog hop for October .
The hop will be posted tomorrow .
Our theme is Halloween Treat Holders .
I do have a video for you tomorrow.
With the 1st official week done with my wound vac on
I am happy to report …..I survived LOL!
Putting the wound VAC on last Thursday with 2 changes done
( Saturday and Tuesday)
plus the 3rd change being done this morning at the wound clinic
I’m so happy everything is going good and meeting the
home care nurses & getting on a schedule with them
maybe I can get into some kind of routine again.
I’m sure this all has a LOT to do with me feeling so exhausted.
Thank you all for your prayers / well wishes/ beautiful cards .
I can NOT ever express my appreciation for all of you.
This too shall pass ~ Praise God !
After my visit to the wound clinic this morning
I should have an idea when
the wound VAC can come off and how long
of a healing time this will take
( a ball park time frame ) .
Leave a comment below this blog post to be entered into
this weeks Glitter Giveaway .
Names of the two winners will be announced
LIVE in the Glitter Pit next Wednesday.
Here are the winners from last week.
Thanks for peeking in today .
Have a wonderful Thursday friends !
