Hi Stampers,
Happy Friday friends !
Today’s card is one I made for my friend Linda.
A Little back story Steve and Linda have been a part of our family
and friends for many years and for those of you that have followed
my blog over the years you may have remembered
our Jessie use to really like a boy named Ben …
Ben is Steve and Linda’s son.
All Steve and Linda’s kids Ben, Whitney, Destiny
and our Jessie and so many other kids all grew up together
and all went to Youth group at church together .
Not only church activities but we hung out together outside of church as well .
Dinners, Halloween parties, BBQ, Swimming
You may even remember that I make all of Whitney’s graduation cards
for her back in 2008.
She loved the Peek-a-Boo window card and in her school colors blue and gold.
I have a video on this type of card HERE
Looks like I need to update this card / video LOL!
I letting you all know this because we have always been close.
Linda was just at the hospital to see me when I was going through that septic shock in Dec.
and she mentioned Whitney was having issues with her hips and the doctors
she thought finally figured out what was happening.
Fast forward to April 21, 2020
Whitney passed away from a seizure. Plus her passing with
the COVID-19 happening this meant the funeral
they couldn’t have more than 10 people there.
Rich and I still can’t believe she is gone and we can NOT even imagine
the pain Linda and Steve are going through .
Whitney just got married on July 9, 2016 to Mike.
Whitney would have been 31 on May 1st and with Mothers Day just passing,
I was having a tough time making a card for Linda.
Here is the card I made for Linda and so much of this card reminds
me of Whitney and Linda, it was perfect .
I made it in Very Vanilla and Whisper White
but the Very Vanilla was the one I sent to Linda.
The video on this card is posted below
as well as all the supplies I used .
P.S A lot of the dies I’m using on today’s card are retiring this year .

Oh Dawn, I am so very sorry for your loss and can only imagine how difficult this is for Linda and Steve. You all are in my prayers. Take it one day at a time. The card you made is stunning. Thanks for sharing and the video. And the video on the graduation card.
Hugsssssss and Prayers.
So sorry for the loss of this sweet child. I pray that God will wrap His arms of comfort around all who loves Whitney and give them His peace. Beautiful card – I know it was hard to make…but what a privilege to share. The love you have for Linda and Whitney shows through.
So sad to hear about your friends daughter. The card you made is beautiful. You all hang in there, and you are in my prayers.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are going to miss her for sure. What a lovely card. Hugs.
Awwwwww…what a terrible loss! My condolences to her family and friends for their loss of this beautiful woman.
The most unnatural and heartbreaking thing in the world is for a parent to bury a child. I know far too many parents who have done this. My heart aches for Linda and Steve. Knowing you, I’m sure you thought of Whitney as another daughter, and so my heart aches for you, too. The card is gorgeous. My prayers for all of you.
Dawn, I am so sorry for your loss. I must say that is the most beautiful card I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing. Love, love, love you videos.
That is a gut-wrenching thing for Whitney’s husband, parents, friends. Just be there for Linda and Steve – the beautiful card is a start.
I am so sorry for this horrible loss for you and for Steve and Linda. I think it is a great idea like you said on your live to go and sit outside their door, talk to them and let them know you are there, your care and would come inside to give them huge hugs if you could. Again I am so sorry for this loss.
Dawn, the card is absolutely beautiful, Linda will cherish it forever. My heart breaks for this family and yours, just so sad. I’m glad she has you for such a good close friend.
Thank You for sharing us your beautiful sympathy card It is hard to loose some one I know I lost my mother 3 yrs ago to Alzheimer so yes I can feel for you in your time of loss. God is good and helps us get thru everything which I always am praying and he has answered many prayers for me .
