This weeks card sketch Weekly # 262 is a really fun one.
Plus, we used a few layers to add dimension to this weeks card sketch.
I had fun playing with my sample / twist on this weeks sketch with
Flirty Flamingo and Pale Papaya the splatters on the new designer paper
called Rain Or Shine Designer Paper # 160540
in the new January – April mini catalog
so, of course I wanted to tie in the splatter embossing folder
Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders #157980 some way .
I also change a few things on my sample and this is what the card sketches are all about .
Let’s not forget the sketch template is the foundation of the card design/ layout
how you design your twist it’s your interpretation.
You can turn the design vertical, make pieces larger .
This is what I did to my sample I made the center layer larger to use the
birthday cake from the Best Day Stamp Set # 160798.
Instead of a small Basic White layer for a greeting,
I added the greeting in separate words instead and let the cake be the main focus .
I also added a extra Basic White layer to the Rain Or Shine Designer Paper,
the Basic White Cardstock # 159276
is actually the size of the template measurements, I just cut the designer paper
down to fit the Basic White Cardstock in the template size.
I really love the way this card captured the sketch design even with a slightly larger measurement on the focal area in center
it because my twist interpretation on this weeks card sketch template.
