Card Sketch Weekly # 280
This weeks card sketch I designed my sample first,
then the sketch was designed from my sample.
WHAT?
This is not how I do the sketches normally.
I 99% of the time design the sketch first , then design my sample around the template.
Not this week’s sketch though , that’s because I knew
I really wanted to use the
Cheerful Daisies Bundle #161297
and the Countryside Corners Dies # 161471
Both brand new in the new 2023/24 Annual catalog that starts tomorrow.
Can you believe it’s already tomorrow – Yes tomorrow – YAY!
Plus I had to use the brand
new Lemon Lolly cardstock #161720
Oh how I love this new core color to our fabulous selection of 50 colors.
I also embossed the Basic White 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer /background with the
Basics 3D Embossing Folder # 161598
from the Online Exclusives HERE .
You can see that background better in this up close photo.
The birthday greeting is also in this
Cheerful Daisies stamp set # 161290
I first tried the polka dot embossing folder which is one of the
three different design folders in this Basics 3D Embossing Folder collection
- Flowers
- Hobnail-Glass Dots
- Crosshatch Designs
I thought the crosshatch design looked much more delicate
which was the look I was trying to achieve .
I love how soft this card looks.

I’m sure will be very popular from the new catalog .
Those Lemon Lolly colored gems are from the new
Adhesive- Backed Solid Gems # 161300 .

Love this card, everything about it is so gorgeous! I love that hatch embossing folder but not crazy about the other two so I can’t justify the cost for the 1 folder that I love. Wish they would have sold them separately. Hint hint SU!
