Card sketches are one of my favorite ways to spark creativity, and Card Sketch #405 did not disappoint!

Today I’m sharing a lucky little card featuring a Pot of Gold image,

beautifully heat embossed with gold embossing powder, and paired with the

Good Luck stamp set that’s coming in January with the new Online Exclusives for a clean and classic design.

We don’t normally get many St Patrick’s day stamp sets so I was excited to get this set.

The Inspiration Behind the Card

Sketch #405 provides the perfect balance of layers and focal imagery.

I loved how easy it was to adapt this sketch into a St. Patrick’s Day,

inspired card while still keeping it versatile enough for birthdays, encouragement, or “just because” happy mail.

Card Details

For this card, I started with a Old Olive card stock base, which instantly gives the project that rich, earthy green tone that feels perfect for a lucky theme. The green pairs beautifully with the shine and elegance of gold embossing.

The star of the card is the Pot of Gold image, stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. That metallic shine really pops against the Old Olive background and adds a touch of elegance without needing any extra embellishments.

To finish the card, I added a sentiment from the Good Luck stamp set. The font and message complement the image perfectly and keep the card clean, classic, and easy .
