Hi Stampers,
Happy Friday friends
It’s the 1st Friday of the month so that means
it’s our Glitter Queens Blog Hop.
This month our theme is Gift Card Holders.
My Advent Calendar is a gift holder on steroids.
Even though I’m sure this is NOT the typical gift card holder the
Glitter Queens theme was expecting…
but time is running out,Christmas is right around the corner.
I have a video on the Christmas Advent Calendar today
I shared the one I made with my friend Peggy HERE .
Thank you Peggy !
I was seriously thinking I had so much time to get this video filmed and posted
then it was Thanksgiving
and I was sharing with my Glitter Queens team a couple weeks ago
that if anyone wanted to make this advent calendar to use this year
I had better get the video filmed.
so sorry a tad bit late but you can still get one made
it does take a few hours but well worth it .
In today’s video I will show you how to make the boxes
and the bow, then how to assemble your advent calendar tree .
I will be highlighting the whole process to make the calendar
like we did at Peggy’s.
BUT Peggy did all the cutting and scoring of boxes and
cutting all the squares of designer paper /card stock
WOW !
That’s cutting & scoring (25) boxes per person x 3
PLUS 101 squares of Designer Paper and 101 squares of card stock x 3
Big Thank you to Peggy for doing
all the pre work for us to
come and have an awesome time making
our calendars .
Here is what you will need to complete your
Christmas Tree Advent calendar
25 pieces of card stock ( 1 per box)~ Crumb Cake # 120953
cut at 7″x 8 1/2″
(5 1/2) pieces of color card stock ( Square layers )~ Real Red #102482
cut 101 squares at 1 7/8″x 1 7/8″
(101 squares ) 4 per box~ Plus topper box gets (5 )
(4) pieces of 12″x 12″ designer paper ( 101 Square layers Plus Bow)
Today’s video I will be using
Christmas Around the World Designer paper #144629
the one we made at Peggy’s we used Be Merry designer paper # 144111
cut (101) squares at 1 3/4″x 1 3/4″
(4) squares per box Plus Topper box gets (5).
Dawn’s Side Note :
You could use the Clear Tiny Boxes #141699
if you want instead of making your own ~ it’s totally up to you.
That would definitely cut down on time.

AMAZING!
Wow is right! Love this idea for an Advent Calendar!!
W…O…W!!! What a wonderful project. Thank goodness I happen to have a box die that will let me simply cut the boxes out in one pass. Your friend Peggy was a saint to cut all that! Lol.
P.S. Watching how you use your paper piercer in your videos has encouraged me to use mine and now I’m much more efficient with my embellishment work! Thanks for sharing.
Whoa!!! Amazing and one I will have to try. Thanks much for sharing.
I cannot believe you posted this video TODAY! I had seen this last year and decided to make one for a centerpiece auction yesterday. It was extremely helpful to see how to glue it altogether! And, the bow! Perfect! God is working in my life in yours.
Thank you a million times over for all your help and your continuous sharing of projects. My friends have benefited many times over from gifts I have made using tutorials from your blog. You are AMAZING!
Dawn-THANK you for sharing this project!!! I’m so excited about making one for my granddaughter, she’ll be visiting tonight.
When I saw this video a Sunday or two ago, I decided that was the Advent Calendar to do for my grandchildren this year (I do something different each year). Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to “build” and stay together. Thank you for being so detailed in your video. Now I can complete it.
Wow Dawn, thanks for the video on how to put this advent calendar together.. Just fabulous.. I can see one all done in glitter paper.. in honor of your glitter queens.. so pretty!!!
What a great project, love them both. Can’t decide which is my favorite.
Will definitely be making this.
Hi. I’m making this now. Questions. HELP
Do you hot glue each box on the side. Also do you scotch tape each group of boxes.
Thanks
